DAY 5We left Glasgow, MT at about 6:00 AM. We were looking forward to breakfast in Wolf Point, MT which was about an hour away. We had not counted on the 18 miles of road construction while riding at 25 mph. We road on gravel, packed dirt, beat up road and fresh pavement. I was very nervous about riding on packed dirt. Especially when the flagger told me not to worry about it because they keep the dust down by sprinkling it before every trip. That's all I needed to hear to put me at easy, slippery packed dirt. All in all it went very well and we did arrive late in Wolf Point for breakfast. There was very little traffic on highway 2. At times I could not see any cars in front of me or behind me and in Montana that is really saying something. Mom tried to call some of Grandpa's people who live in Fairview but no one was home. We had hoped to drop in for some home cookin! We had lunch in Minot, ND and since we were really making good time we reserved a motel room in Devils Lake, ND. With threatening rain clouds all around us all afternoon, we are happy to tell you that we only experienced a few sprinkles. We had another wonderful day. It is all I can do from keeping Barb from getting a tattoo. She really likes the biker babe role. Since I did not take any pictures today of the trip, I am dedicating the pictures I did take to my Grandson, Austin!
