Summer Trip 2006

DAY 3  Kalispell, MT; to White Fish, MT; to West Glacier, MT; to East Glacier, MT

Weather: Raining  Miles: 90

DAY 3

This morning we left Kalispell under cloudy skies with 20% chance of rain.  Yes, you guessed it, we were in that 20% area.  We rode to White Fish, MT for breakfast.  The last time we were here we were on the train taking the kids to grandma's house for Christmas about 25 years ago.  When we pulled into White Fish it was -55 degrees.  Barb took a picture of the train station to remind us of that trip.

From White Fish we rode to East Glacier, MT all the while it was raining lightly.  We stopped once to put on our rain coats.  We pulled into The Glacier Lodge about 11:00 AM and luckily we were able to check into our room.

The lodge is magnificent and I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  The rain let up about 4:00 PM and the sun came out in full force.  I don't mind riding in a light rain but would much prefer dry pavement.  Tomorrow we are off to Glasgow, MT across the wide open spaces.
