Summer Trip 2006

Day 20 Mileage: 90 miles.  Weather: Perfect

DAY 20

Thursday July 6,2006

I woke up this morning with a headache so it took a bit of time for the Advil to have the desired affect on my head.  As a result we left a bit later than planned but today was a light traveling day.  Mornings are our favorite time to ride.  The air is fresh and clean and cool.  The time just flies by and we arrived in Cody, WY at 9:30 AM.  To early to check in so what is there to do but to eat breakfast at Granny's.  This took 30 minutes and then on to the Econo Lodge.  We left Barb's gear there so she could begin her shopping exploration.

I rode out to a Honda Shop where I had made arrangements for an oil change.  They don't usually service motorcycles but the sophomore at U of Wyoming did a fine job.  Can you believe it?  I have put over 4,000 miles on the motorcycle since we left home.

I returned to the motel and dropped my gear off and went to find Barb.  How hard is it to find Barb, just sniff for the smell of coffee and that is just where I found her.  We cruised town for a while and sought recommendations for dinner.  As daughter in law Sarah would say, "You Brody's never miss a meal!"

We got checked into the motel.  It is a great place and the town is a wonderful tourists trap, our second of the entire trip.  We started to watch the shoot-out but Barb wanted to go eat.  Most places were full  but we ended up both having gourmet pizzas.

Tomorrow we are off to ride Beartooth Pass weather permitting.
